LestWeForget Nurse Merry Gladwin "Merry"

*Retired from breeding*

Merry is from Fergie's winter 2018 litter. Merry is everything we ever could have hoped for in a collie girl. She is a unicorn (genetically speaking) that is clear of all diseases that can effect collies. She is sweet, derpy, trainable and a HUGE suck for attention/snuggling.

She had a litter of 7 in spring 2024 and her other litter of 11 in fall 2025.
After that champion litter (she also had enough milk for all eleven puppies and didn't even need supplementation - which was bonkers) she will enjoy a long retirement as the resident 'bed collie' at our house.

These are girls that we are hanging onto (and have placed them in caretaker homes)
They're all great potential future mommas, but we want to see how their temperaments, health testing after 24 months, and working abilities turn out as they grow up.

She's the sweetest little girls we've ever had. As a bonus, she's genetically clear of Collie Eye Anomaly, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (Collie type), Multidrug Resistance 1, Cyclic Neutropenia, Degenerative Myelopathy (common variant), Hyperuricosuria, Recurrent Inflammatory Pulmonary Disease, and is Dermatomyositis low risk.

Baby name "Seven"
She's the 'sport' prospect out of this litter. Completely brilliant, loves problem solving, and happy to get in the mix. As a bonus, she's also genetically clear of Collie Eye Anomaly, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (Collie type), Multidrug Resistance 1, Cyclic Neutropenia, Degenerative Myelopathy (common variant), Hyperuricosuria, Recurrent Inflammatory Pulmonary Disease, and is Dermatomyositis low risk.

Perry

Baby name 'Ava' - our 'keeper' from Merry's 2025 litter. She would have gone out for an excellent service prospect, but we pulled her for our breeding program. She will be a successor dog to Blais working at Victoria School of the Arts as their in-school therapy dog once she's old enough.
We got her health testing results back, and she's clear for everything! Another unicorn baby.

*Retired* Fergie was a service dog in training that we pulled one litter from to keep her genetics.

Retired from our breeding program and loving life as a therapy dog with an amazing family. (She was in training to be a service dog, but due to a change in the program they were no longer placing rough collies, so she's a therapy dog now)

LestWeForget Cpl. Paul Blais "Blais"

*Retired* Blais is born in December 2014. She already has her Novice Trick Dog title, Silver Up in Frizgility (frisbee x agility), Golden Receiver and Sharpshooter achievements (UpDog Disc), pulled a kicksled on trails in the winter, pulled children in a cart for the Highland Games and starred in a mattress commercial! and has her Sharp Shooter achievement in UpDog disc.

She is a go-getter and NOTHING phases her. We even did some obedience training 20ft from a concrete cutter in our neighborhood and she just wanted to keep working.

Retired from our breeding program. Even breeding to a pretty chill boy, her puppies were still a touch too sporty for our breeding goals - so she's retired. She still lives with us and is loving working as a therapy dog at a K-12 school.

LestWeForget Operation Athena
"Athena"

*Over the Rainbow Bridge at 15 years of age*
Athena is our program's super mom, born October 2012. In her first litter, 6 of the 8 puppies became service dogs. She is the mom of the 'Peacekeeping 1 and 2' litters and the SOS (Soldiers of Suicide) litter where 5 out of 8 puppies are in service training. She loves hanging out on the couch and catching frisbees. She has been the smooth collie ambassador at the Highland games for the last three years, giving children rides in her cart all over the festival.

After having 18 beautiful puppies for us, she enjoyed retirement as a family pet at my brother-in-law's. She had no health issues in her entire life.

"Vimy"

*Over the Bridge at 14 years of age*
Vimy is our Foundation girl born in 2006. She was an outstanding girls who was very versatile. She had consistently impressed us with her work ethic, natural retrieve, calm temperament and trainability. She had done work in agility, herding, therapy, disk, rally obedience, obedience, carting, tracking, backpacking, flyball, TV work, sledding and being a nanny dog to our little girl - a truly versatile rough collie and great to live with. She was just as happy to lay on the couch all day as to go out and do work. She was from a strong line of working collies that include service dogs.
Her titles include CKC obedience (CD, High-In-Class), rally obedience, temperament tested, herding, flyball, backpacking, therapy work, rally and disc. (that's a lot of work! It was before I had kids!)
